"How Vaping Affects the Body'' follows the story of Karina, who has a negative reaction when she tries vaping for the first time. Through her story, students will learn the risks of using e-cigs or vaping products; the hazards of chemicals contained in e-cigs or vaping products and the effect they have on the body.  This lesson answers the following questions:  -Is vaping safer than smoking cigarettes? -How does vaping affect health? -How can I set boundaries when confronted with peer pressure on smoking?  This lesson is for grades 6-8.  How can I discuss the effects of vaping on the body with my students? In this lesson on how vaping affects the body, students will learn about the risks of using e-cigs or vaping products and discuss how to avoid peer pressure.   How do I talk to my child about vaping? If you are a parent and want to talk about how to set healthy boundaries in social situations where one may be pressured to experiment with e-cigs or vaping products, this is the right lesson for you!
