"How Drugs Affect the Body" follows the story of Ravi, who is pressured to sell his Adderall prescriptions to a classmate; and Sunny, who smokes marijuana with his friends but gets uncomfortable after one of them gets sick. Through their stories, students will learn the risks of abusing prescription drugs and marijuana; the uses and side effects of prescription drugs and marijuana; and how using these drugs can affect those around you.  This lesson answers the following questions:  -What is a drug? -What are the health risks of using marijuana and/or prescription drugs? -Are there legal consequences for using prescription drugs? -How can I report suspected abuse of drugs?  This lesson is for grades 9-12.  How can I talk to my students about the effects of drugs on the body? In this lesson on how drugs affect the body, students will learn about the side effects and legal consequences of experimenting with prescription drugs or marijuana.   How do I talk to my child about drugs?
